Find out what your Microsoft licenses actually cost. Before renewal, not at it.
A free conversation with Winmill’s Microsoft licensing team about your Microsoft 365 and Azure licensing. You learn what you’re paying for, whether it fits how your business works, and where Microsoft’s changes give you options.
A license review, not a sales call
Most organizations find out what their Microsoft licensing costs once a year, when the renewal quote arrives and there’s no time left to change anything. By then the licenses assigned to people who left, the add-ons bought for a project that ended, and the Copilot seats nobody activated have all been paid for again.
Winmill’s licensing team talks it through with you before that happens: what your business is doing, what it needs, and what you have. We look at it together on a screenshare during the call, so there’s nothing to send ahead.
We don’t quote prices during the review and we don’t ask you to move anything. You leave knowing your licensing fits, or with specific suggestions, on the call or as a short follow-up.
Three places the money hides
Assigned but not used
Licenses still attached to departed employees, disabled accounts, and shared mailboxes. Add-ons that duplicate something already in the base plan. Seats reserved for a project that finished.
Plans that don’t fit the people
E3 and E5 mixed without a reason. Business Premium where Enterprise is needed, or the other way around. Copilot assigned to users who have never opened it. Security add-ons bought twice under different names.
What renewal does to you
How your current agreement is structured, what the terms look like at your next renewal, what’s committed for how long, and where you have room to change plans or counts without penalty.
A working session with a Microsoft partner
The review is a conversation with Erik Decker, who leads Winmill’s Microsoft licensing practice. Bring your questions about Microsoft 365 and Azure licensing. What you do with the answers is up to you.
The review covers
- What you have compared with what your business needs.
- Microsoft’s pricing and licensing changes, and how they affect you.
- Where Microsoft is focusing, and what that means for your licensing.
- Suggestions on the call, or as a short follow-up if questions need answers.
Microsoft licensing keeps changing
Microsoft has changed pricing and licensing across the board, and it’s still changing. Where Microsoft puts its focus shows up in what you pay and what’s included. That’s true whether you buy through an Enterprise Agreement, direct from Microsoft, or through another partner.
A review now gives you that picture while there’s still time to use it.
Run by the team that runs Microsoft tenants every day
Winmill is a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider and a Microsoft Solutions Partner for Modern Work. The licensing practice sits inside the same team that runs Winmill’s data center and cloud services, so the people looking at your licensing also run tenants like it every day.
Winmill has worked with 44 of the Fortune 100, and with organizations a fraction of that size that need the same discipline about what they pay for.

Common questions
Do we need to send anything first?
No. We look at your licensing together on a screenshare during the call.
Is it really free?
Yes. The review is how we start a relationship with organizations that don’t buy Microsoft licensing through Winmill today. If your licensing already fits, you’ll know that, and we’ve both learned something.
Do we have to move our licensing to Winmill afterward?
No. The suggestions are yours. Some organizations act on them with their current partner, some act on them with us, and some file them for renewal.
We buy through an Enterprise Agreement, direct, or another partner. Can we still do this?
Yes. The review works however you buy. It’s often most useful to organizations whose current partner shows up at renewal and never in between.
