Infrastructure Engineer

WinMill Software is actively seeking a full-time Infrastructure Engineer.

Job Responsibilities    

  • Provide network/system design & implementation services for clients
  • Install, support and configure Storage Area networks (SAN)
  • Install, support and configure Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls as well as all necessary security applications. Good practice in providing ongoing network maintenance, including updates and security patches
  • Work as part of a team maintaining our public cloud and private datacenter (servers, network devices, firewalls, SANs) and provide second level support for problems
  • Achieve and maintain vendor certifications in a variety of areas (i.e: EMC, Cisco, Check Point, VMWARE, Microsoft)
  • Commitment to continuous learning of new technologies
  • Onsite clients work is required (clients are in the NY/NJ area)
  • Monitor, evaluate, and solve potential network performance issues. Manage Cisco infrastructure-related and other network requests and problems in the field
  • Provide helpdesk services supporting customers via email, telephone, and face-to-face interaction. Ability to problem solve new foreign infrastructures
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to the installation, administration, and maintenance of network infrastructure
  • Evaluate new network technology. Assist with the planning and design of future network architecture wired and Wireless
  • Manage the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of servers, SANS, hardware, software, operating systems 
Required Skills    
  • 5+ years experience deploying and managing a Cisco infrastructure, especially in user distributed environment
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields
  • Experience with designing and implementing EMC solutions (VNX, Datadomain, Avamar, Unity). EMC Certifications are a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently with new network and systems environments of new clients, able to review and understand configuration and provide network and systems engineering recommendations
  • AWS/AZURE knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Cisco switches (including Catalyst 6500/9300/9500 experience) and routers, Cisco ASA/FTD & VPN concentrators, Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco UCS, SAN Switching, FCOE protocol, Dynamic Routing protocols (EIGRP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, etc.),BGP, VOIP, Check Point Firewalls, VNX SANs 
  • Qualified candidates should have well rounded experience with full network diagnosis, configuration and problem resolution
  • Comprehensive knowledge administering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, RDP, MS IIS, MS Exchange, MS SQL Server, & Active Directory 
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution
  • Experience with VMWARE. VMWARE certifications are a plus 
  • Experience in deployment and Administration of Microsoft Office 365 packages and components and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Familiarity with security principles, penetration testing, vulnerability testing, HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley a plus
  • A good understanding of wireless networks and wireless security practices in LAN and WAN implementation of wireless architecture is a plus
  • Ability to interface with clients for technical and non-technical questions
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Windows highly desirable
  • Experience working in a consulting field or in a multi-client environment a plus 
  • Authorized to work in United States for any employer  
  • Cisco – CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE 
  • Microsoft Certification a plus
