Course Description:

Our 4-day VMware Essentials Boot Camp class gives students a full set of tools to learn how to install, support, and troubleshoot a VMware Enterprise environment and includes the following main topic areas: ESX Server 3.5 Upgrade from ESX 3.0.0 to 3.0.1 VirtualCenter 2.x VMware Consolidated Backup (VCB) Physical to Virtual (P2V) migrations Virtual to Virtual (V2V) migrations VMware Lab Manager VMware Converter 3.0 Enterprise Edition Each student will set up their own ESX Server, License Server, VirtualCenter Server, and use a variety of tools to support the VMware Enterprise. This course offers students to build, support, and troubleshoot their own server. This Essentials Boot Camp course covers the most important content from four official VMware courses (What’s New; Install and Configure; Deploy, Secure and Analyze; P2V Assistant). It’s all here and combined into one class that covers installing, supporting, and troubleshooting a VMware Enterprise Environment. We also take a look at 3rd Party tools to assist in the deployment and management of a VMware solution. A special focus is placed on GUI tools that help administrators who are less familiar with Linux at the command line.
