Biography of Martha A. Laucius

Martha had the ability to make people believe that they could accomplish anything; with Martha all ideas were good and all goals could be achieved. It was this force of spirit that inspired the founders of WinMill Software. Martha's capacity to inspire people was based upon her life-long belief in the ability of each person to continually grow both spiritually and intellectually. This conviction was evidenced through Martha's personal commitment to education. Martha may be best described by sharing the words of a close friend and colleague.

"Martha had an uncanny way of coaching and supporting people. She showed me an image of myself that was bigger than life...as though she could see my higher self - my divine potential. She spoke to that greater person within me - and drew it out...Martha's humility and kindness will be with me forever."

It is the goal of WinMill Software to carry-on Martha's steadfast commitment to learning. Through this scholarship, we hope that Martha will continue to influence the lives of others, and that her spirit and her example will motivate the recipients of the scholarships to see and to draw out the greater person within themselves.
