Laucius are awarded to deserving students at leading universities including Pennsylvania State, Fordham, and Columbia.

The assistantships are awarded to students on the basis of academic performance, financial need, and active participation in the life of their university. The goal of the award is to honor the memory of Martha A. Laucius by rewarding gifted students and affording them the opportunity to "draw out the greater person within themselves," and lead to greater rewards for all of us in the years to come.
