Professional Services Manager II

Professional Service Managers (PSM II) have six or more years of professional experience in the technology industry. They are recognized as hands-on technology experts in all stages of software development. They have managed multiple projects from inception through implementation, and have a proven ability to deliver systems on time. A PSM must work closely with the Account Management team to ensure that expectations are being met and that the software being developed correctly addresses the original business need.

A WinMill Professional Services Manager is responsible for a team of Consultants, which may include Senior and Principal Consultants, and other managers. He or she is ultimately responsible for the success of these associates. This is a multifaceted role that requires the manager to be a superior technologist, mentor, project leader, professional role model, advocate and visionary. The PSM II ensures that WinMill associates are getting the most out of their projects and their jobs, and that they are growing (in terms of experience, ability, promotion, and compensation) as rapidly as possible. Managers II contribute significantly to WinMill Software's continued ability to meet aggressive growth and service goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, math, sciences, or engineering.
  • Advanced degree in business or a technical field is encouraged.
  • Strong leadership qualities. Ability to manage multiple Professional Services teams.
  • Proven success as a Project Manager and Team Manager.
  • Six or more years of experience with Internet and database development tools.
  • Industry certification in one of WinMill's core technologies is required. WinMill's core technologies include Java, PowerBuilder, XML, and ColdFusion. UML experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of various sizes at once.
  • Six or more years of professional experience in at least one vertical market such as investment banking, pharmaceuticals, insurance, or advertising and media.
  • Proven ability to provide excellent client service.
  • Training experience and interest in training.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Commitment to hard work.
  • Energy.
