Change Management and Business Process Consultant

WinMill Software is actively seeking an Organizational Change Management and Business Process Improvement Consultant. This consultant will work with a client in the transportation industry to determine business process development needs, create business processes and assist with the org change management necessary to support the business initiatives.

Job Responsibilities         

  • Managing process change 
  • Leading process redesign workshops 
  • Educating business users responsible for managing and operating business processes 
  • Monitoring, measuring and providing feedback on process performance 
  • Facilitating process workshops that involve eliciting process requirements and liaising with users 
  • Documenting processes
  • Applying a structured methodology and lead change management activities
  • Applying a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative
  • Supporting communication efforts
  • Supporting the design, development, delivery and management of communications
  • Assessing the change impact
  • Conducting impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
  • Supporting training efforts
  • Providing input, document requirements and supporting the design and delivery of training programs
Required Skills     
  • Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, or equivalent. 
  • 10+ years of IT or related work experience with specific experience in project/portfolio management or PMO environments a plus. 
  • Experience with CA PPM a plus 
  • Ability to discover and establish business process 
  • Ability to design, carry out analysis, and model business processes 
  • Ability to construct business process methodology toolbox 
  • Skill for business process simulation and optimization 
  • Technical skills needed to document processes as needed (Visio, etc.) 
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process 
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Excellent active listening skills 
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences 
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships 
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal 
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations 
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere 
  • Forward looking with a holistic approach 
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics

  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle 
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts 
  • Change management certification or designation desired 
  • Project Management skills, particularly a PMP is a plus 
  • Ability to work as multiple roles at once, is a plus, including PM, Business Analyst 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential
